What a practice band is
Scores on IELTSatoz are practice estimates designed to guide preparation. They are not official IELTS results. Official scores are issued only by authorised test providers (British Council, IDP, or Cambridge English).
What Master-AI is
Master-AI is an automated marker, not a human tutor. It was trained on responses scored by expert IELTS raters, so its feedback follows the same criteria a teacher uses.
Listening and Reading
Objective modules are scored from correct answers against the published key, then mapped to an IELTS-style band using the same conversion approach used in computer-delivered practice. Timing, audio rules, and question types follow the exam format so the estimate reflects accuracy under exam conditions.
Writing and Speaking
Master-AI evaluates responses against the four official-style criteria for each skill (for example Task Response / Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy for Writing). Feedback includes a practice band estimate, criterion notes, and concrete next steps — not a chat summary.
Calibration and review
Master-AI is tuned so practice scores stay aligned with IELTS-style band descriptors rather than inflating results. We continue to review edge cases and prompt behaviour so estimates stay useful for study planning. Validation is ongoing; treat every band as a preparation signal, not a guarantee of your official result.
How to use the estimate
Use the overall and module bands to decide what to practise next. A weaker module is a signal to drill that skill under timed conditions, then compare the next attempt. Pair the estimate with the criterion notes — the number alone is not a study plan.
